Nurse / research coordinator with specialization in oncology nursing. In recent years I have worked in research in multiple studies at different stages of development with hematological patients. Clinical research has awakened in me a great interest so I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in clinical trial monitoring. I joined ICMR to assist in its formation where I work as a research SN/SC.

Psychologist & Clinical Study Coordinator. In recent years, my work as a researcher in the field of dermatology has led me to train and specialize in the area of clinical trials. I have worked for over 4 years as a clinical trial coordinator at Ramón y Cajal University Hospital, joining ICMR and continuing in the same role.

Carlota Blanco

Carlota Blanco MSc

After finishing my undergraduate studies in Biotechnology and completing a Master's degree in Bioinformatics, I joined the Deja tu Huella program at Roche Farma, where I spent a year training in the Medical Department. Currently, I am a predoctoral researcher in the Dermatology Department of the Ramón y Cajal University Hospital, in addition to collaborating as coordinator of Biological Therapies in the Psoriasis and Chronic Inflammatory Diseases Unit of the Pedro Jaén Group.

During the short years of my professional career, I have also completed a postgraduate degree in Business of Biotechnology at the University of Chicago, I have obtained an expert degree in the pharmaceutical industry from the CEU San Pablo University, and I have been able to participate in the renowned Young Civic Leaders course on civic leadership and social entrepreneurship offered by the Tatiana Foundation to young people with concerns. I have also presented posters at national and international congresses in the field of dermatology.

Valentina Baleguera

Doctor and Master of specialization in epidemiology, with extensive experience in dermatology, research and teaching. Currently, project manager at the ICMR and researcher in the trichology group of the Pedro Jaén group.

Montse Fernández Carazo

Montse Fernández Carazo MSc

Degree in Pharmacy from the University of Alcalá with a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical and Parapharmaceutical Industry from CESIF with extensive experience in the area of Quality Assurance. Currently, specialist in Quality Assurance in a pharmaceutical laboratory collaborating in parallel with ICMR as a pharmacist expert in Quality Assurance.

Leyre Malet PhD

PhD in Microbiology. With over 17 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and Clinical Research, both in pharmaceutical companies and national and international CROs. Throughout her career, she has held various roles such as CRA, Clinical Study Manager, Medical Manager, and Business Development Director. These responsibilities have provided her with a profound understanding of research needs and customer priorities.

Her extensive background encompasses the management of clinical trials from phase I to phase IV, as well as RWE projects. She specializes in delivering high-quality services while overseeing business development integration and growth.

Dr. Sergio Vañó MD, PhD

Dr. Sergio Vañó Galván is a dermatologist, trichologist and hair surgeon, director of the Hair Disorders Unit of the Ramón y Cajal University Hospital and the Hair Disorders and Hair Transplant Unit of Pedro Jaén Group Clinic, in Madrid. He holds a PhD in Medicine and is an Associate Professor of Dermatology at the University of Alcalá. He is the Secretary General of the Spanish Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (AEDV).

He is the current President of the Spanish Hair Research Society. Dr. Vañó Galván leads an active research group in the study of different forms of alopecia (#TricoHRC). Dr. Vañó Galván has published more than 280 scientific articles in Pubmed (h-index of 29) and he is a regular guest speaker in international congresses of hair research.

He is the Secretary General of the European Hair Research Society and member of the American Hair Research Society. He is Director of the International Master's Degree in Trichology and Hair Transplantation at the University of Alcalá.

Dr. Vañó Galván is expert in hair research, androgenetic alopecia, alopecia areata, cicatricial alopecias, trichoscopy and hair transplant. He is an active user of social networks.

Dr. Salvador González Rodríguez is a medical specialist in confocal microscopy. He is part of the Skin Cancer Diagnosis Unit at the Pedro Jaén Group (Madrid).

Currently, he is an accredited professor and associate professor of Dermatology in the Department of Medicine and Medical Specialties at the University of Alcalá de Henares (Madrid), advisor to the Dermatology Service at Ramón y Cajal University Hospital (Madrid), practitioner at the Dermatology Service at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (NY, USA), and associate professor in the Department of Dermatology at Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA.

Additionally, he is the president of the International Confocal Microscopy Society and the Spanish Confocal Microscopy Group, an honorary member, chosen for his recognized work in the USA, of the American Dermatological Association.

Dr. González holds the distinction of being a world expert in Biotechnology and Healthcare according to Who's Who in the USA and is a member of the leading international clinical and research academies. He is also one of the most prolific dermatologists in publishing research studies in this medical area internationally over the last 25 years. His research work has resulted in 8 patents of interest to pharmaceutical and technological companies.

Dr. Luís Ríos Buceta

Dr. Luís Ríos Buceta MD, PhD

Dr. Luis Ríos Buceta is a medical specialist in dermatological surgery. He is part of the Skin Cancer Unit and the Facial Aesthetics Unit at the Pedro Jaén Group. He specializes in cutaneous oncological surgery, Mohs surgery, as well as in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer.

Currently, he is an associate at the Dermatology Service of Ramón y Cajal University Hospital in Madrid and is responsible for the Dermatological Surgery Unit at this center.

He is also a member of the Board of the European Society for Micrographic Surgery of Mohs and the Spanish Melanoma Group, as well as a member of the editorial board of the journal Actas Dermosifiliográficas.

He has served as secretary of the Spanish Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (AEDV) and has enjoyed stays in prestigious centers in the field of dermatological surgery and Mohs surgery, both in Spain, Portugal, and the USA.

Dr. Pablo Boixeda

Dr. Pablo Boixeda MD, PhD

Dr. Pablo Boixeda is a dermatologist specializing in lasers, clinical dermatology, and aesthetics. He serves as the coordinator of the Laser Unit at the Pedro Jaén Group. Additionally, he is responsible for the Dermatological Laser Unit at Ramón y Cajal University Hospital in Madrid.

He is an expert in laser and/or pulsed light treatment of dermatological conditions such as rosacea, couperose, birthmarks, hemangiomas, sunspots, and acne. Moreover, he specializes in the use of this technology for rejuvenation and scar treatments.

Dr. Boixeda is an associate professor of Dermatology at the University of Alcalá de Henares (Madrid) and was part of the Dermatology and Laser Department at Boston Hospital, affiliated with Harvard University.

In 2022, Dr. Pablo Boixeda was honored with the Leon Goldman Award in recognition of his excellence in clinical research, patient care, and laser-related education, as well as his contributions to research and innovation with this technology.

He actively participates in conferences worldwide and is a regular invitee to the most relevant national and international congresses. He also serves as a consultant for entities involved in laser technology development, primarily in the USA.

Dr. Manuel Fernández Lorente

Dr. Manuel Fernández Lorente MD, PhD

Dr. Manuel Fernández Lorente is a dermatologist and medical coordinator in the Clinical Dermatology and Facial Aesthetic Units at the Pedro Jaén Group.

He specializes in early diagnosis of skin cancer and melanoma, as well as in non-invasive treatment of skin cancer; he is a pioneer in Spain in the treatment of skin cancer with topical products. Additionally, he is an expert in mole monitoring through digital dermatoscopy and the Vectra 360 system.

As an aesthetic dermatology specialist, Dr. Fernández is experienced in the use of fractional lasers and in the administration of botulinum toxin for clinical and aesthetic treatments.

Furthermore, he is one of the most prestigious experts in acne treatment, being a pioneer in the implementation of bio-photonic therapy in Spain.

Dr. Fernández is an accredited teacher by the Spanish Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (AEDV) in aesthetic dermatology techniques for specialist dermatologists and scientific coordinator of the Dermomap project.

Dra. Rosa del Río

Dr. Rosa del Río Reyes is a dermatologist and director of the Facial Aesthetic Unit at the Pedro Jaén Group.

She specializes in advanced wrinkle treatment and skin rejuvenation through non-surgical methods, combining botulinum toxin, hyaluronic acid, mesotherapy, peels, platelet-rich plasma, and laser technology.

Additionally, she is an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of skin discolorations, including solar lentigines and melasma, as well as in the early diagnosis and monitoring of skin discolorations, moles, skin cancer, and melanoma using digital dermatoscopy. She is also a specialist in acne treatment with medication and/or individualized laser therapy for each patient.

Dr. Del Río is a member of the Spanish Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (AEDV) and the Spanish Group of Cosmetic and Therapeutic Dermatology (GEDET). She is also the coordinator of the Master's Degree in Aesthetic Dermatology at the University of Alcalá de Henares, where she also plays a teaching role. She teaches Dermatology in postgraduate courses for Primary Care physicians.

Lastly, she is a regular speaker at Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine congresses and regularly contributes to publications on her specialty in various national and international journals for healthcare professionals.

Dr. David Saceda

Dr. David Saceda MD, PhD

Dr. David Saceda Corralo is a dermatologist, specializing in Trichology and hair surgery at the Trichology and Hair Transplant Unit of the Pedro Jaén Group and at Ramón y Cajal University Hospital in Madrid.

Trained in several international hospitals, Saceda is an expert in frontal fibrosing alopecia and other scarring alopecias. He also serves as a teaching collaborator in Dermatology and Medical Simulation at the University of Alcalá de Henares (Madrid).

Dr. Saceda collaborates with the Spanish Trichology Group (GET), sponsored by the Spanish Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (AEDV). He is a member of the Trichology Research Group (#tricoHRC) at Ramón y Cajal University Hospital, the International Dermoscopy Society, and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV).

Moreover, he is the author of numerous research studies in his areas of expertise and participates as a speaker in national and international courses and congresses, primarily focusing on trichology, clinical research, and medical education.
